美国宾夕法尼亚州立大学土木工程专业终身教授,主要研究方向为桥梁工程、动态土壤-结构相互作用、抗动荷载设计、金属结构、环境岩土工程、极限设计、基础工程、数值计算方法、新营建材料等。已在Soil Dyn. & Earthq. Eng.、ASCE Journal of Bridge Engineering、Construction and Building Materials、Computers & Structures等国际著名权威期刊发表学术论文115余篇,出版科学专著1部。曾荣获美国宾州州立大学杰出研究奖1项、台湾杰出研究奖5项、美国预力混凝土学会Daniel Jenny研究奖2次、美国宾州交通部设计奖3项、日本科学促进协会(JSPS)研究奖2项。美国混凝土(ACI)341、442委员会委员,美国土木工程师学会(ASCE)钢桥、生命线地震工程技术委员会委员,及国际无缝桥学会(IAJB)专业委员会委员, 美国桥梁施工和设计协会(ABCD)董事。
报告简介:
American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) released its very first edition of Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) Specifications in 1994. Since then, it has gone through six revisions (1999, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2012 & 2014). In this presentation, the fundamental framework of AASHTO LRFD Specifications (probability theory & reliability theory) will be presented first, followed by the main features of the specifications including load and resistance factors, limit states, live load model, live load distribution, stability checks for earth walls, and advantages. Along the way, some research issues will be discussed. The purposes of this presentation are to disseminate the new bridge design methodology and to stimulate interest from the audience with the hope of possible future research collaboration.
